Could you imagine a fate, Any worse than this? Picture a man who got everything. With the steel will of his fist. Can you imagine the fall? From the top, all alone. Now imagine, being together Through it all. And I want you to know, that I’ve been here before, And I can’t seem to let go. But the answers I need, I know they’ll come to me When I stop looking so hard. And if you want to, I could be yours. I could be yours when the morning breaks, I know it don’t feel like your own. But I would be sure that I love you, Enough for us to get to where we need to go. Why don’t you call me? Call me when you get home. I didn’t know you before, But it’s like you don’t know me at all. And I’m learning not to believe you When you’re telling me you’re in love. And I wish you could see the possibility You know I love when you finally let go And I wanna Take your hand But I won't force you there You know I'm better off being alone But if you want to, I could be your I could be yours when the morning breaks, I know it don’t feel like your own. But I would be sure that I love you, Enough for us to get to where we need to go. Why don't you call me? Call me when you get home - I could be yours when the morning breaks, I know it don’t feel like your own. But I would be sure that I love you, Enough for us to get to where we need to go. Why don't you call me when you get home?

Lover, lover, where did I go wrong? Did I go building a home, out of paper and straw? I don’t think that I can change right now, I need somebody who can show me how. I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I don’t want to feed this fire. I don’t want to be the one Who’s running you down every night. I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I don’t want to look inside. I don’t wanna know, I’m so scared What I could find. Do you feel this aching in your chest? I ain’t never felt nothing like this. I don’t know you, and I never did. But I’ve known good love before And it don’t feel a thing like... I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I don’t want to feed this fire. I don’t want to be the one Who’s running you down every night. I don’t want to feel like this anymore. I don’t want to look inside. I don’t wanna know, I’m so scared What I could find. When you wake up and the money’s all gone The friends left you alone. Yeah the thrill of it all, don’t last very long. When there’s nothing to break the fall. They’ll say I had the choice to stay As If I had a choice to go. Take a look around this is what we got now And it’s no place for a home. Lover, lover, where did I go wrong? Did I go building a home, out of paper and straw?

Come Home 03:57
Baby I know you’re tired Worn to the bone And I’ve been looking to you for an answer I don’t need to know. But don’t think I don’t see you, For all that you are If this is the hill that I die on Then I swear to god And I know that you wanted to save me so badly But I never needed the help And you know that I wanted to love you so madly But you don’t need nobody else. We do it to ourselves. Come home, I’ll do whatever you say so We’ll make it better This place won’t Hold us forever, I know, just come home. I’m trying to tell you, Cuz no one else will, You still think you can call out a liar, While they drag you through hell. And I cant stand to watch you go fall apart Cuz you think you gotta do this alone. And I know that I don’t make it easy but I love you More than you could know. When you don’t know where to go. Come home, I’ll do whatever you say so We’ll make it better This place won’t Hold us forever, I know, just come home. Come home, I’ll do whatever you say so We’ll make it better This place won’t Hold us forever, I know, just come home.

Tell me when it’s over and done, After we’ve been long forgiven. I’ll put the space between then and now, Whenever you’re ready, I’ll tell you how: I have carried you through all the days you missed. And all you left behind was everywhere I went. How could I forget the one who loved me like you did? I give you wreckage, you clear it all. I get to close, you welcome me home. And every time I’m scared I’m gonna fall, There’s no need to fear, been here all along. Every moment since the one I ran away, Wondering how many steps it’s gonna take, To recognize myself without, You in love with me. I want to be free, But I want to believe. That’s it’s always been you. It’s always been me. I have carried you through all the days you missed. And all you left behind is everything I am. How could I forget when I’ll be waiting here like this?
5.
When we get there, I’ll let you lead the way. It’s been so long and there’s so much to say. Like I know it’s never easy When a good thing goes away. You’ve been safe here, but now it’s time to go And there’s no answers; just cold, empty hope - That one day our boy, Will be coming home. And everybody’s finding their meaning But I wont. Saying that there’s gotta be reason I used to think so. When we get there, Would you meet me out the front? Hold me like you used to, In the life that we lost. When we get there, I’ll let you lead the way.
6.
I could be the love you’ve seen, Go ahead and take it all from me. Oh lord. I can’t tell just where you’ve been, Maybe one day you could let me in. Oh lord. But I don’t want to know, how to change. And no I don’t, want to feel any pain. And I never thought I could break this way. No but I don’t want to know, how to change. You’ve got wounds you won’t let heal. Let’s pretend it’s something that we don’t feel. Oh lord. Night it comes I never sleep, All his demons find a home in me. Oh lord. But I don’t want to know, how to change. And no I don’t, want to feel any pain. And I I never felt myself break this way. No but I don’t want to know, how to change. I know I gotta let him go, Be the one to cut the chord. Don’t wanna, don’t wanna, Don’t wanna how to Get to where I was headed to, Who was I before you? I don’t know I don’t want to know, how to change. And no I don’t, want to feel any pain. And I never thought I could break this way. No but I don’t, want to know,

Dreamsong 03:24
Close your eyes, and let your body be Thee’s a better world you were made to see. And when you forget your troubles and you fall asleep. I’ll be right here, come back to me. Ask all my questions To the Unknowns above, I keep my root below me - I am grounded I’m in love. And when they give me all the answers I’ve been dreaming of I take them to tomorrow when I wake they will be gone. I don’t want to think about it, I don’t want to talk. It goes in the same circles, And I’ve been awake too long. And I can sense a darkness here, I’ve seen this kind before. And every time they call it love, I fade a little more. Fade away, into the fantasy, Holding all the pretty words, About how things could be. But right before I fall, Before I make a home here You’re changing all the locks A warm welcome is unclear. And the roots are overgrown. Nothing new can grow dear. And I’m banging on the walls, In all the spots you can’t here. I don’t want to think about it, Let me drift away. I’ll keep all of my dreams about you Someplace where it’s safe. And I wish they could see it, Where I keep them in my mind. Because all the love I ever gave, Sleeps but never dies.

Patterns 03:32
No I cannot find the words, To tell you where it hurts Or why I don’t belong. There’s a look upon your face, Says you don’t feel the same, I know it’s not your fault, But - I’m seeing something In the way they look at me, Oh, I’m seeing something in those eyes, Shallow water racing over my head And all these patterns gonna eat me alive. There’s a secret in these walls, Wouldn’t bother me at all, If I knew I could survive. And there’s a voice inside my mind, Tries to kill me all the time. Which one of us will die? But- I’m seeing something In the way they look at me, Oh, I’m seeing something in those eyes, Shallow water racing over my head And all these patterns gonna eat me alive. I’ve been thinking bout, All the ways I’ve built myself a cage. I’ve been hoping that these patterns break, And maybe you could stay. But- I’m seeing something In the way they look at me, Oh, I’m seeing something in those eyes, Shallow water racing over my head And all these patterns gonna eat me alive - hey! I’m seeing something In the way they look at me, Oh, I’m seeing something in those eyes, Shallow water racing over my head And all these patterns gonna eat me alive.

Let Me Be 03:57
I’m a long long way From where I thought I’d be The time that I was promised Is being taken from me I don’t trust myself for nothing, I don’t want anything. Just let me be. Let me be Be a secretkeeper, When you know - don’t make a sound Don’t look back, don’t lose your grip. It’s a long way down. See the fight will only feed her, You’ll know it when it’s found. Just remember what it’s like To keep your feet upon the ground. You can’t pull me out of this. Let me be Just let me be Let me be, Let me be. When we’re living off the mercy Of an old testament god. When there’s nothing left upon the earth. You’re used to fighting for. It’s just another lifetime, For every one before. Come the fire, flood or famine As above, so below.

I can see for miles, I can see forever, When no one follows me up. And everytime you leave they’ll say Things will never change here, But I have proven that wrong. Over and over, just trying to get back What I’ve lost so many times, that I’ve lost track. If all I got is all that I have, And there’s nothing but endings ahead. Stay close to me and we’ll make this right, I won’t push you away - we don’t have the time. We learned how to grieve, now we’ll learn how to fight And how to hold things together without holding them inside. The signs are all around us That we’re due to come down from The high that we’ve been on. They’ll reckon with their sins when, All they were born into Won’t do any good for anyone. But I still believe I’ve been listening. Stay close to me and we’ll make this right, I won’t push you away - we don’t have the time. We learned how to grieve, now we’ll learn how to fight And how to hold things together - hold me together. Stay close to me and we’ll make it through, This is everything I ever loved and it’s not ending soon. We’re gonna keep this house together, We’re gonna learn when to fight, And we’ll be waiting for the rest of them With open arms on the other side. Ooo Ooo Ooo

If I could have seen, whatever it is, Before I decide to go down, down with it. If I could have known, what lies in the soul Of every one of us all. Would I be free from looking over my shoulder in the night? Would I be free from the feeling That the end is already in sight? If I had the answers, If I has the strength, If I had the conviction I thought I did. What would I feel then? Am I afraid? Of what would become. If I should try my best, and give it my all. And if I should fail, what would there be? If all that pushed me forward was never meant for me? Would I be free from always being on the move? Would I be free from the feeling that I’ve got so much to prove? If I had the answers, if I had the strength, If I could get out of it what I get in, What is left at the end?

Winter 03:15
Can’t remember, last winter when it came. Same heartache, new people, different place. And when I go, I’m gone - And you don’t have to worry about me. I’m reliving hell till I learn - That’s why I came. In December, every year I take that drive. When it snows you feel safe, protected. Hidden by the night. Then I’m back in your car, Just a couple kids getting high. I don’t think he ever loved me, But I sure loved him for trying. And if I could go back, If I could change one thing; I’d let him go, tell him Tell him it’s OK I promise I’m going to understand one day. Wintertime, we learn how to change.
